This site was developed to house all of the resources being developed to support rural principals. RAPPS is a comprehensive leadership development program focused on preparation of principals for high poverty and remote Alaska schools, and support for those who are currently serving in those schools. The program consists of three components: 1) preservice, 2) induction, and 3) training and technical assistance for principals in high need districts and schools in need of improvement, corrective action, or restructuring.

The RAPPS instructional team is working together throughout the school year to provide practical strategies and “how to” information that will assist you in putting best practices to work in your school and district.

Use this site for more support in

  1. Promoting effective collaboration and starting professional learning communities;

  2. Using data to improve student achievement; and

  3. Aligning curriculum, practice and assessment.
